ERIE 4-6-2 #2906
The loco was built by Alco-Schenectay in July of 1917 and served very successfully in passenger and freight service. It was rebuilt around 1927 with additional features added and its cylinder size changed.. After nearly 31 years of service, it was scrapped in the Erie yard in Meadville, PA on 11/7/1947. Rebuilt specs - K-2-A class, 77" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x28" cylinders, Elesco feed water heater and stoker installed, tractive effort of 41,800 lb. I believe this is a Paul Prescott photo.
