UP 4015
Big Boy 4015 pauses on its journey near Hermosa Tunnel in mid-1950. Note the engineer taking the opportunity to clean his window of soot and debris. 4015 was built in November of 1941, and would pull the final train ever pulled by a Big Boy in regular service, arriving in Cheyenne at 7:55 PM on July 21, 1959, with 74 loads and 2 empties totaling 4930 tons. 4015 would also become the first Big Boy to be scrapped, meeting the torch on September 20, 1961.
