Big Boy 4003         
UP 4003 rests between runs in the yard at Laramie. The massive 4000-series beast was one of the largest locomotives in the world, with an overall length of 133 feet and a tractive effort of 135,375 pounds. The 4003 would become the second-to-last Big Boy scrapped, being cut up on May 31, 1963. Obtained from Union Pacific Steam: Big Boy Portraits (Bush, Ehernberger)
