Here is the front side of a postal card entitled "The Horseshoe Curve." No Postmark. Partial Caption On Reverse: "This is a copy of a flash photograph of the world-famous Horseshoe Curve, Altoona, Pennsylvania. The picture was taken on October 20, 1954 to symbolize the 100th anniversary of the Curve construction." Published by the Claar Studio, 415 Montgomery Street, Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Visible in the foreground is a westbound Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train headed by engine #5862, an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in February of 1948 and retired in September of 1967 after just 19 years of revenue service.
