Reprinted by Harry P. Albrecht in 1978. Top Photo, Partial Caption: "Gasoline-electric rail motor car, used on branch lines where the service does not warrant the operation of an entire train." Shown here is PRR "Doodlebug" #4731, a J.G. Brill-250 built in 1925. Pictured below is fire-tested PRR P-70 coach #1724.
