CN 3199  Contributor's Pick!
A CN container train crosses the mouth of the Fox River via the 2013 CN bascule bridge at Oshkosh, WI, on 24 May '20. This bridge was completed in Aug. '13 to replace the former C&NW 1899 swing bridge. In the background to the left can be a sign, donated by CN, which details some of the history of the old swing bridge. Train had two locomotives, CN 3199 pulling and CN 3262 pushing. Consist included CNIS 412040. In 2019 a few otherwise ordinary boxcars were converted to Autonomous Track Inspection Program (ATIP) cars. The CN web page which discusses the ATIP includes an aerial photograph of a train with one of these cars crossing this bridge.
