BO 2-10-2 #6189 - Baltimore & Ohio
Nice example of the relatively unique 1926 Lima built 2-10-2 "Santa Fe" type steam locomotive. Contrary to most 2-10-2's, this Santa Fe type was built for speed. Specs - class S-1a, uncharacteristic 64" drivers (great for speed), impressive 220 psi boiler pressure, unusual sized 29.75x32" cylinders, engine weight of 436,810 lb, excellent tractive effort of 82,753 lb. The last of the class was retired in 1959. W.J. Lundahl original photo
