ERIE 4-6-2 #2907  Contributor's Pick!
A proud engineer leans out the window of this shiny new Pacific built by Alco-Schenectady in 1917 and classified as an Erie K-2-A loco. On the back of the photo, the unknown photographer wrote "About 1915" but it wasn't built yet. The date would be closer to 1917-18 due to the spotless sheen on the loco.

Dave Korhammer General Nice shot: also note the older-style headlight and the piston extentions behind the pilot. 5/21/2014 6:43:22 PM
