Soo Line departing Mpls MN in 1971. Editors Pick!        
This is a classic Soo Line consist in the 1960s and 1970s on large heavy trains. Here we see an F7 on the point, followed by a GP9, GP30, SD40, SD40, GP, and F7. The F7s were delivered to the Soo Line in maroon and gold paint, along with GP9s and GP7s. Some GP9s, SWs, Baldwins and Alcos were delivered to the Soo Line in black and yellow stripes in the early 1950s.
